Performance Capture node
Use a recording of a real performance to drive the movement in your shot.
Performance Capture takes a video of someone acting — a gesture, a walk, a head turn — and uses that movement to drive your shot. The look comes from your reference; the motion comes from the recording.
This is how you get a specific performance rather than whatever the model invents. If you need the character to do exactly what you did on camera, record it and use it here.
- Record or upload a clip of the performance you want.
- Add a Performance Capture node and choose that clip.
- Wire it into the performance input on the node that will make the shot.
- Add a reference for how the character should look.
Frame the recording the way you want the shot framed. A tight close-up drives a close-up better than a wide shot does.
