Plugins

The plugins will connect your editing software to your Root Film account so the record of how a shot was made follows it into your edit. They will not move files for you — they keep the authorship trail running once the footage is out of Root Film and in your timeline.

There is nothing to install yet. Developer preview builds exist for Premiere, After Effects, Nuke and Resolve. They were too rough to hand out, so we pulled them. The Plugins page will fill in with downloads and setup steps once they are solid.

Nothing about your provenance record is lost in the meantime. Everything you do inside Root Film is still recorded in full. The authorship dossier you export already covers it. The plugins extend that trail into your editing app; they are not what creates it.
