Prompt templates

House styles for the prompt helper, so your prompts come out sounding like you.

A prompt template is a set of standing instructions for the prompt helper — the sparkle button next to every prompt box. It does not paste text into your prompt. It changes how the helper writes when you ask it to draft, improve or vary one.

That makes it the place for the rules you would otherwise repeat: always shoot on long lenses, never mention brand names, keep it to one sentence.

  1. Open Prompt templates and add a new one.
  2. Give it a name you will recognise later.
  3. Write the instructions as directions, not as a prompt.
  4. Pick it from the sparkle button on any prompt field.

Write "keep descriptions short and concrete", not "a wide shot of a desert". The first is a rule the helper follows; the second is just a prompt.
