What Root Film is, and the shortest path to your first finished shot.
Root Film is a place to make films. You write what you want, it makes pictures and clips, and you cut them together — all in one project, with a record of how each piece was made.
The fastest way to understand it is to make one shot. That takes about five minutes.
- Make a project from the Projects page.
- Open Create, write a description of one image, and generate it.
- Generate a clip from that image.
- Approve the take you like.
- Open Edit, drag the shot onto the timeline, and export it.
Once that makes sense, the Graph is the next step. It is the same operations, wired together, so changing the picture at the start updates everything built on top of it.
You spend credits when you generate. Credits are held when a job starts and only spent if it works — a failed job costs you nothing.
